GGG lacked response to bad Scourge rolls or Krangling. The Path of Exile community has been very disappointed recently. Prior to this, the game’s new expansion pack Scourge introduced a unique mechanism, so players have prepared enough POE Currency in the league, where players can place items or maps in Blood Crucible. After Nightmare Realm kills the monsters, they will get some Scourge rolls with positive and negative effects, and will corrupt the item.

As the community said, Krangling is where the negative effects of corrupted items make positive items almost useless. Although GGG previously released an update that brought improvements to this new alliance mechanism, these are not enough. Players expressed disappointment at GGG’s lack of response to Krangling. The negative effects of Scourge exceed most of the positive effects on specific items or maps. Although the recent update has improved map rolls to some extent, this solution is like the developer just intends to apply a major buff to the map and complete it.

Some players said that some issues were not fixed in the first three weeks of the new league, so unless the primary mechanism is redesigned, it is unlikely to change. In a previous interview, GGG producer and lead developer Chris Wilson said that bad rolls/mods exist to dilute the mod pool and make “good” rare.

The main reason only Scourged maps get some favorites is that developers may not have enough time to remake existing mods on POE Items. This may be true, because Wilson previously stated that they will improve Atlas and fix bugs that still exist, so that patch 3.17 can be released in time. Atlas itself is large and may require a lot of development time to make it better. But players can Buy Exalted Orbs to make themselves have a better experience in the game.
