Always within sight of view world, the Erdtree is often a cultural symbol of The Lands Between, entwined with every factor of its history. That said, it wasn't always referred to as the Erdtree and likely would not even have the style we are familiar with. Its history is long and weaved, inseparable from the Gods that comprise it.
The Primordial Crucible
Within the sport, the history of the world is learned almost exclusively from the perspective of the Golden Order, with scant components of otherwise heretical lore strewn throughout the far corners of the world. In these small, hidden items of lore, however, we find out about something known as the Primordial Crucible, an early form of Eritrea.
buy elden ring runes is defined within the Age on the Erdtree, although the Primordial Crucible existed well before this. At this point in time, there was simply the Great Tree which is often assumed to get the central Erdtree that now shines within the entirety of The Lands Between. The Great Tree still seemed to get the cultural symbol in the land, with others fighting because of its glory. This is further evidenced through the abandoned colosseums which might be spread throughout the world, relics of your bygone era.
Another aspect of the world that was common through the age of the Primordial Crucible was precisely what is now the Fell Omen. During the Age with the Erdtree, one of the most prominent from the Fell Omen are Morgott and Mohg, who have been sealed away underground, known as blasphemous creatures. This lends further credence that the Fell Omen will be the natives of The Lands Between, or somehow closely from the Primordial Crucible, which is the reason they are so reviled with the Golden Order. In a rather twisted manner, you can see that Crucible Knights have fashioned themselves after Fell Omen, modeling their armor and talents after them.
The final major aspect of the Primordial Crucible is Ancient Dragons. The dragons that currently roam the concept of Elden Ring are weakened descendants of the Ancient Dragons. The majority of Ancient Dragons we come across are within Farum Azula, Placidusax prime one of them. Placidusax is considered to have been an Elden Lord these days before Elden Lords existed. This implies then that they are once the victor in the Primordial Crucible, along with the arrival of the Greater Will, slumbered in Farum Azula to await the return of their lord. Though their unique lord has never been specified, it could be assumed this refers back to the Great Tree that has been taken over through the Greater Will to get the Erdtree.
The Primordial Crucible is seemingly known as the birthplace of life within The Lands Between, and for that reason, all life throughout Farum Azula, where many who praised the Primordial Crucible appeared, can be considered creations in the Primordial Crucible exactly the same way Demi-Gods are creations from the Erdtree
The Arrival Of The Greater Will
Though the Age on the Primordial Crucible defined The Lands Between, the arrival of the Greater Will would usher within the Age on the Erdtree. From this point on, we never hear mention of the Great Tree again, so it may be naturally assumed that the Great Tree, as well as the Erdtree, are one and also the same, though with some other rulers.
Acting because it is a vessel, the Greater Will sent a sparkling star to The Lands Between containing the Elden Beast. The Elden Beast would go on to be the Elden Ring itself, housed deep in the core with the Erdtree. With this, it is assumed the Erdtree took on its current form, spreading its influence throughout its vast roots that spread through the entirety of The Lands Between. From here, the Minor Erdtrees was born, developing a shared appearance and spread of power throughout the whole land.
It is unknown what power controlled the world throughout the Primordial Crucible, though now the Elden Ring and its particular composite runes are what gave rules and order to the earth. The Erdtree was now more than just a cultural and religious symbol in the world: it absolutely was also the core of the world, holding abdominal muscles rules of reality as determined through the Greater Will.
