Jake comes from Dudley and I'm from London, but we met in Vegas! It was his first night there on the stag do and I was on the girl's holiday, we met up every single day after that until he flew home, and we kept in touch whenever we returned. We were built with a long-distance relationship for three years then he moved down south to be with me.

I 100% "knew" I did not want satin.... then I wound up trying on this dress also it was perfect! I visited 4 bridal shops and tried on probably about 20 dresses before selecting FeelTimes gown. I bought it at feeltimes.co.uk. It's a regal-looking gown, with buttons down the rear and embellishments around the corset without having to be too much "bling" though. The whole look is extremely classy but still has that storybook feel.

As there's lots of detail around the corset I kept the accessories simple. Simple veil, hair down and wavy having a pair of beautiful diamond earrings which were a present from Jake around the morning from the wedding, along with a glitzy necklace. I also was built with a little satin purse decorated with crystals and pearls to complement.

We got married at Cain Manor an attractive oak-beamed barn-style venue around the Surrey/Hampshire border. Go

Planning was very structured because the venue requires you to input every last detail into a web-based planner, which was lots of work. We weren't heavy around the theme, but I suppose it had been barn house glitter with lots of shabby chics but always combined with some sparkle with no wedding color, just gold, silver, and tones of cream and ivory. The confetti was silver and gold sequins and we had a confetti pic n mix bar for individuals to fill their confetti cones with.

We had an acapella group called The Buzztones come and sing pop songs for all of us during the reception, they can do a UK garage set which was amazing! They started out posing as evening wedding guests than just burst into song, so it had been a fun surprise for everybody.

The funniest bit was the very best man's speech; a rendition of Taylor Swift's "Shake it off" re-worked as "Jake it off" instead, filled with power-point slides of embarrassing photos and videos, it had been hilarious and got lots of hits on YouTube!
